Icon design is my hobby and meditation after the main job - I currently work as a UI/UX designer and illustrator. If I’m not designing interfaces or creating icons, you will find me drawing, doing sports, reading, traveling, or enjoying cultural events.
In 2016, when I was working in a startup, I got inspired by a friend to start designing icons. What began as a part-time occupation turned into a full-time job in a few months. Right now, I am leading the team of 10 designers behind Chanut is Industries.
I am Sorasak, but you can also call me by my nickname - Max. I like illustrative icon style, and you will see that quite evidently on my profile on Iconfinder. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, and I even plan on launching my own game soon.
A few years ago, I turned icon design from a side project to a full-time job. I needed artistic freedom, so I'm glad I've chosen this path. Hand-drawn is my go-to style—I enjoy playfulness and not so serious approach to life, so I guess it extends to my work as well.
I love drawing cute icons in friendly colors. When designing, I think it's important to think about the target audience and to make sure that the process is fun! When I'm not working on creative projects, I like to surf skateboard and watch Netflix.
We met when we started working at the same company. Both of us liked creating icons, and in 2006 we co-established Icojam. We are perfectionists and like to try new concepts. It feels great when we get to see our influence on the market, even if only temporarily.
When I look at an artboard, I recall my school years and a squared notebook that I filled with drawings as if they were pixels. I was thrilled when I found out that you can draw icons and put them for sale, and decided to try it out. Now it's my main hobby.
I started designing icons in 2016. I believe that you can create an effective icon, if you think like a user. Currently, I lead a team of five designers behind Just Icon. Besides icons, I also build shops for other design assets, such as illustrations and templates.
We are a creative couple. I, Gaurav, am responsible for design and content development, and Shilpa takes care of management and finances. I always wanted to do something where I can showcase my designs to the world, and Iconfinder is the best place for this.
