In summer 2022, Iconfinder has been acquired by Freepik company. Since then, our teams have joined forces to create one leading platform for icons. In order to achieve that, we are going to start with uniting the most important part - our contributors 💚
For the time being, Iconfinder and Flaticon will continue to co-exist as separate sites, but we will begin to merge our content. The long-term plan is to copy all Iconfinder icons to Flaticon.
Eventually (it is yet to be decided when), we will be fully functioning under Flaticon.
That's why the sooner you'll opt in to copy your content, the faster you are going to have an established Flaticon profile.
This article includes information about the process of syncing and managing your content and both your accounts.
☞ It’s our mission to make it as easy for you as possible. So, with your permission, we are going to copy the icons and their data including tags, packs, families and upload them all to your Flaticon account for you.
☞ Iconfinder is going to continue existing and selling for now, so your content will still remain in your account and you will be receiving Iconfinder earnings as you did until now.
☞ At the moment, we are only going to be copying icons. Illustrations and stickers are not going to be copied just yet.
Of course, we will not share any of your data or content without your approval. You can opt in with just a few steps and let us begin to upload your content to Flaticon.
All is done on the Flaticon opt-in page.
If you already are a Flaticon contributor, you can simply log in using the button on the opt-in page. You will be redirected to Flaticon and then back to Iconfinder. Then we will be able to link your accounts together.
If you are not a Flaticon contributor, click on the sign up button and you will be redirected to a Flaticon contributor registration page. When you’ll finish signing up, you will be redirected back to Iconfinder and your accounts will be linked.
After you log in/sign up, we have the account that we should copy your icons to. All that is left is to submit the opt-in form and we can begin with copying the content. We will send you an email once it’s done. When it is moved, you can manage your content directly on Flaticon.
Since we are at the beginning of this process, we cannot estimate how long does the content copying takes.

All Flaticon contributors are required to submit a Tax residency certificate in order to receive their earnings.
We recognise that submitting the Tax residency certificate can be an issue for you.
At the moment, we have a dedicated team of people who are actively working on removing the requirement of having to submit the certificate repeatedly every year. It’s a long process with a lot of legal obstacles, and we cannot promise anything, but we believe that we can make it easier for you.

We advice you to begin the process of obtaining your Tax residency certificate as soon as you can, so you can submit it and start receiving earnings properly right away.
Sales and cash-outs will be handled on each platform separately. Your earnings from Iconfinder will be counted based on the same model as they were until now.
Once we copy your icons, your earnings from Flaticon will be counted based on the Flaticon model.

All content in PNG format on Flaticon is free and is covered by Flaticon license with attribution required. Customers on premium subscription access the content covered by Flaticon license without the attribution being required.
Free content such as brand logos or trademarked items is covered by the free license for editorial use. More info can be found in Flaticon Terms of use.
The 1 year benchmark for deleting content Flaticon used to have is gone 🥳
We will do it immediately upon your request. We reserve the right to delete your content in maximum 90 days in case there is any investigation necessary, but more often than not, it is done asap.

For now, you can continue to upload your icons to both Flaticon and Iconfinder.
Keep in mind that while Iconfinder keeps on existing and operating, the teams and resources are focused on developing and improving Flaticon, which will ultimately in the long-term be the one and only platform we’ll manage.
